If you get heartburn more than once a week, Nexium Control can give you up to 24 hours protection.

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Nexium Control works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This reduces the likelihood of experiencing gastric problems that can occur with disturbances in the acid secretion.

It is not known if esomeprazole control is best for everyone. Always read the patient information leaflet that comes with your medicine.

How does Nexium Control work?

Nexium Control is a proton pump inhibitor. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

Works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

What is the dosage of Nexium Control?

The dosage of Nexium Control is the same for both esomeprazole and a proton pump inhibitor. The recommended starting dose is 20 mg orally once a day for 24 hours.

The dosage of Nexium Control may vary depending on the cause of your symptoms and the severity of your condition. Most people tolerate the medication in the same way as their acid-reflux medicine. However, you may experience persistent upset or stomach pain if you take the medication for a long time. Nexium Control is not recommended if you have:

  • Heartburn or heart pains 40 years or older (occurring in the past six months)
  • Liver problems
  • Proton pump inhibitors (such as esomeprazole magnesium-sucrose, lansoprazole-sucrose, pantoprazole-sucrose)
  • Stomach ulcers or bleeding disorders

The symptoms of gastric problems can be persistent or acute symptoms such as upset stomach, bloating, and gas that are not necessarily serious. If you experience symptoms for a long period of time, or if you have severe symptoms, you should stop taking Nexium Control and see a doctor.

How do I take Nexium Control?

Nexium Control gastro-resistant tablets are taken 1 to 3 hours before or after eating. Follow the label directions best taken by a healthcare provider.

Nexium Control is not recommended for everyone. When people have heartburn, it’s best to take the medication as soon as you can, but if it’s getting worse or continues, or if you have pain and discomfort in the stomach after taking the drug, Nexium Control may not be right for you.
